Course Fees: $150

• Reading Comprehension
  • Learn phonetics including decoding and blending of words. An online phonetics game will be used in this class.
  • Read Aloud (fluency and accuracy) using prescribed books. 
  • Pick  the “words” that come out of their mouth and help them by finding meaning for it using an online word game (fun activity).
  • Book selection tips will be sent to the parents. (communicate to the parents).

• Communication and Engagement
  • Encourage kids to talk and share their thoughts freely. 
  • Share creative work from their school classroom so that the rest of the kids learn what’s going on in other schools.
  • Build awareness on what’s going on around them by talking about important events - Halloween, President’s day, etc.  

• Two prescribed online books are required for this class.  (parents will buy (price around $20) or get it from other sources. 
• Zoom access with video and audio (this course is online only)
• Using book selection tips, parents will help their kids to select the books for the winter reading project
• Online phonetics and simple word games (teacher will share the access)
• Google Classroom for parents to know what’s going on in this class.
